Sydney, AUSTRALIA – 10 August 2026: Canon Business Services (CBS) ANZ has appointed senior technology executive, Matt Clarkin, as General Manager of Sales and Marketing.
Clarkin joins CBS with more than 26 years of experience leading sales and go-to-market functions for enterprise software vendors, system integrators, and founder-led services businesses, with deep expertise in Microsoft-aligned growth strategies.
Bringing a track record of driving commercial growth, Clarkin joins from Avanade, where he led their Australian financial services and commercial business. Prior to this, he was an equity partner at specialist data and artificial intelligence (AI) firm Data Addiction, where he was central in scaling the business, leading a successful acquisition by Seisma Group. Clarkin has also held leadership roles at Microsoft, where he successfully drove year-on-year growth across a large portfolio.
Luke Clark, CEO of Canon Business Services (CBS) ANZ, said the appointment comes at a critical time for Australian and New Zealand enterprises seeking practical business outcomes from technology investments.
"As local organisations grapple with complex shifts across cloud, data, AI, and security, they need a partner who can integrate these solutions with commercial clarity.
“Matt brings a rare blend of experience, operating at major global vendors and leading large-scale system integrators. He understands exactly what it takes to deliver repeatable, high-value outcomes for Australian businesses. We're thrilled to have him on the team, and his appointment is a direct investment in CBS' capability to guide our customers through their next phase of technological maturity."
Commenting on his appointment, Clarkin said "We're at a point in the industry where the pace of change, especially around AI, data and IT security risks, can be overwhelming for many businesses.
“Success is not just deploying new tools or delivering transactional services, it is about having a partnership based on trust, proven capability and providing consistent business value in a cost-effective approach. Having spent my career across the technology ecosystem, I joined CBS because it's in a unique position to be that partner. The business has a strong solution-focused mindset, true end to end capability and incredibly strong customer advocacy. I’m focused on building from that great foundation to unlock new business opportunities and growth for our customers."
Clarkin’s appointment reinforces CBS’ commitment to helping organisations navigate increasingly complex operating environments. His experience across enterprise software, consulting and managed services will further strengthen CBS’ ability to connect technology investment with measurable business outcomes.
